Turn Your Pain Into Another's Gain

We all carry around emotional pain...it may not look like it for some...but we all do.

Emotional pain has many forms.

A few of these forms are...

...guilt (what I did was wrong)

...shame (I am a bad person because of what I did...much worse than others...if people knew what I did, they would also think I am a bad person.)

...anger (I am mad at myself and can't forgive myself.)

What do we do with the pain?

We mask it.

We hide it.

We numb it.

But we can't deny it...we know we did it.

We live with the pain every single day.

We think about what we did when wake up, throughout the day, and when we go to sleep.

Sometimes we dream about it.

It's a nightmare that will not go away...even when we are awake.

How do we live when we carry so much emotional pain from something we did?

May I suggest one way to live...

Turn your pain into another's gain.

There are people carrying the same pain.

There are people about to make the same decision.

What can we do to help them?

What can we do to lovingly prevent them from making the same decision?

What can we start to provide this help?

What can we be involved in to provide this help?

Healing for us sometimes comes by helping others experiencing the same pain.

May I suggest something else...

...find a support group of similar people healing from the emotional pain you are carrying.

Many times we feel all alone in our pain...but there are others carrying the same pain.

Please know you are not alone in your pain.

And also know...

You are loved by God.

You are valued by God.

You are forgiven by God.

You are accepted by God.

Grace and Peace to you from God your Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
