The Sea Beast and the Land Beast Wage War Against The Saints - Revelation 13

In Revelation 13, the Sea Beast (the Roman Empire) and the Land Beast (first-century, Christ-rejecting Israel) joined together to wage war against the saints.

We read about their war against the saints in Acts 12:1-3 when the Jews were pleased that King Herod (appointed by Rome) killed James, the disciple of Jesus.

Acts 12:1-3 reads,

"Now about that time, King Herod [SEA BEAST] stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly (believers in Jesus). He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword. When he saw that it pleased the Jews [LAND BEAST], he proceeded to seize Peter also."

In Acts 7, the Jews had already declared war on the saints when they killed Stephen.

In Acts 12, Rome joined in the war with the Jews when James was killed by King Herod.

The killing of James is a real, historical example from the pages of the Bible of the Sea Beast and the Land Beast of Revelation 13 joining together to wage war on the saints.
