Something To Consider Concerning Charlie Kirk, Abraham, Abraham’s Descendants, And Those Who Bless Israel

Genesis 12:1-3 says those who bless Abraham will be blessed and those who curse Abraham will be cursed.

Additionally, these verses say that through Abraham the nations would be blessed.

The blessing to the nations is Jesus.

The blessing is righteousness by belief.

See Romans 4 and Galatians 3.

In John 8:30-47, Jesus said the Pharisees were physically descended from Abraham, but spiritually they were not Abraham’s descendants because they did not believe Jesus was the Christ.

Paul made a similar statement in Romans 2:28-29.

He also made a similar statement in Romans 9:6-7.

In John 15:1, Jesus claimed to be the true Israel when he said, "I am the true vine."

According to Jesus and Paul, the true descendants of Abraham are those who believe in Jesus not those who are born with Abraham’s blood.

Why does this matter?

A misunderstanding of Genesis 12:1-3 drives political decisions, personal attacks, and places great fear on people.

The real descendants of Abraham are those who believe Jesus is the Christ (see Romans 4, Galatians 3).

Fear is placed on people when those who quote Genesis 12:1-3 say God will curse people if they do not support modern-day Israel.

This is where Charlie Kirk comes in.

In the last month of Charlie Kirk’s life, he began to publicly question the government of modern-day Israel.

Christians who misunderstood Genesis 12:1-3, because they were not educated about the words of Jesus and writings of Paul, personally attacked Charlie, pressuring Charlie to stop his words concerning the government of Israel.

They placed great fear on Charlie.

Charlie feared for his life.

This post is not intended to say anyone specific is responsible for Charlie’s death.

Nor does it point an accusing finger at a nation.

The point of the post is to show how important it is to understand the full biblical narrative of Genesis 12:1-3 before making political decisions, personal attacks, and placing great fear on people.
